9th Chords ear training

9thChordsThis zip file includes a series of audio files. With the files create a playlist and put it on shuffle. Each example plays a 9th chord a few times then arpeggiates it, finally you hear my voice telling you the type of file. This is a great way to expand your harmonic vocabulary.

Berklee Faculty

Teaching at Berklee is a thrilling experience, the students are excited and dedicated and I feed off their energy. Being in front of a class is a performance, and I am a performer! That said, teaching is as exhausting as a stage performance, and some days it is hard to be “on.” (more…)

There is nothing I love more then learning. At times I think my role one this planet is to absorb and spread information. I have consistently been surrounded with great educators. Advanced Music Production with Ableton Live

You can check out my online course over at Berkleemusic.com where you can see a sample of the course.  In creating this course I tried to take a holistic approach to the music production process.  Compositional and orchestration ideas are placed alongside the technical tools.  The goal was to give each technical process a musical context.  This approach gives every level of student valuable information.  Students that are great composers but lack the technical knowledge spend more time on the technical aspect.  Students that really know the program spend more time on the musical topics.
